From sign-in to receipt
The checkout is made for the counter: items and basket side by side, and customers follow along on their own display.
1 Sign in
Whoever is at the till picks their name and enters the PIN. This also works without internet.
2 Add items
Scan the barcode or tap the product. Customers see every item and the total on their display.
3 Pay
Cash with change shown, or card and TWINT through Freika, right on the device.
4 Done
The receipt comes from the 80 mm printer. The sale appears in the cloud dashboard at once.

Many shops start with a staffed checkout and soon notice that customers also come in the evening. With scango.ch you then add a self-checkout. Products, prices and stock are already there.

What you want to know about the staffed checkout
How much does the staffed checkout cost?
The Sunmi D3 mini costs CHF 790.– one-time. In the subscription it counts like any other checkout: the subscription starts at CHF 99.– per month with the first checkout, each additional one costs CHF 59.– per month. All prices excl. VAT.
Is there an end-of-day closing?
Yes. At the end of the day you close the till and see the takings by payment method. In the cloud dashboard you also see the sales per cashier.
Do I need a separate payment terminal?
No. Card and TWINT run through Freika’s SoftPOS solution right on the checkout. If you like, you can also connect a Freika payment terminal.
Does the checkout work without internet?
Yes, for cash sales. PIN sign-in also works offline, and the sales appear in the dashboard as soon as the checkout is back online.
Can I add a self-checkout later?
Yes. Both checkouts use the same products, the same stock and the same dashboard. You set up the new checkout, everything else is already there.
Is this a checkout for restaurants?
For selling over the counter, such as coffee, cake or take-away from the display case, yes. We do not offer table service or kitchen tickets.
