Switching POS

From TCPOS to scango.ch

You work with TCPOS and want self-service, counter and stock in one cloud system? Have your items exported, and we import them for you at the start.

Step by step

How your data gets from TCPOS to scango.ch

  1. 1

    Request the item list

Ask your TCPOS partner (e.g. Nexgen or Zucchetti Switzerland) for an export of your items as a CSV or Excel file. If there is no export, an Excel list of your range or your supplier's price list works too.

  2. 2

    Send or upload the file

At the start we import your product data once for you and check it for plausibility. Or you upload the file yourself in the dashboard under Products → Import.

  3. 3

    Review and confirm

Columns such as barcode, price or category are mapped automatically. You see every row before anything is saved.

  4. 4

    Plug in the checkout

Your checkout arrives preconfigured. Range, prices and stock are already in it.

What comes along

  • Products with name, barcode and price
  • Cost prices and VAT rate, where in the file
  • Categories and suppliers
  • The import maps the columns itself

What to keep in mind

  • TCPOS publishes no guide for an item export. Whether and in which format items can be exported, your dealer or support knows.
  • Daily closings and sales reports stay in the old system. Have them exported for your accounting before you switch.
Vouchers and discounts

What about vouchers, customer cards and discount codes?

Before you switch, get a list of your open vouchers and discount campaigns from TCPOS.

FAQ

What you want to know about switching

Does scango.ch run without a server in the shop?

Yes. scango.ch runs in the cloud; the shop only needs the preconfigured checkouts. If the internet drops, the staffed checkout keeps selling for cash.

How much does switching cost?

Importing your product data once at the start is included. You pay for the checkout and the subscription as shown in the cost estimate.

What happens to my past sales?

Your sales history stays in your current system. Download the reports for your accounting before you cancel the old subscription.

Can I run both systems side by side for a while?

Yes. You can set up and test scango.ch while your old till is still running, and switch over afterwards.
