From SumUp to scango.ch
You sell with SumUp today and want stock, suppliers or a self-checkout on top? Export your items as CSV, and we import them for you at the start.
How your data gets from SumUp to scango.ch
1 Export your items
In your SumUp profile go to “Items”, click “Export” and “Download CSV”. The file contains your whole catalogue.
2 Send or upload the file
At the start we import your product data once for you and check it for plausibility. Or you upload the file yourself in the dashboard under Products → Import.
3 Review and confirm
Columns such as barcode, price or category are mapped automatically. You see every row before anything is saved.
4 Plug in the checkout
Your checkout arrives preconfigured. Range, prices and stock are already in it.
What comes along
- Item name and variations
- Price and cost price
- VAT rate and unit
- Barcode, SKU and category
- Quantity in stock
What to keep in mind
- The file has no supplier column: you choose the supplier for all rows during the import or add it afterwards.
- Sales reports are in the SumUp Download Center. Download them for your accounting.
What about vouchers, customer cards and discount codes?
Before you switch, get a list of your open vouchers and discount campaigns from SumUp.
Vouchers
Send us the list of your open vouchers with code and remaining balance, and we enter them for you at the start. The codes stay the same, so your customers’ vouchers stay valid.
Discount codes
You choose the code freely, so your existing codes stay the same. Percent or fixed amount, limited to products, categories, suppliers or stores.
Customer cards
scango.ch does not run points or stamp cards. A fixed discount for regulars or staff works with a discount code. It’s best to pay out open points as a voucher before you switch.
More than a till
Staffed and self-service
Counter with cash drawer, end-of-day closing and sales per cashier, plus the self-checkout, with one range and one stock.
Stock and suppliers
Stock levels, supplier orders and supplier statements in the cloud dashboard.
Card and TWINT
Payment through Freika, set up in one step with the checkout.
What you want to know about switching
Can I keep using my SumUp card terminal?
scango.ch checkouts take payment through Freika: the self-checkout with the PAX IM30 terminal, the staffed checkout right on the device. You do not need your SumUp terminal for this.
How much does switching cost?
Importing your product data once at the start is included. You pay for the checkout and the subscription as shown in the cost estimate.
What happens to my past sales?
Your sales history stays in your current system. Download the reports for your accounting before you cancel the old subscription.
Can I run both systems side by side for a while?
Yes. You can set up and test scango.ch while your old till is still running, and switch over afterwards.

Hi, I’m Tobias.
Send me your export and I’ll tell you how your switch works. Or request a non-binding quote right away.
