Why it matters

Plan B at the kiosk

  • Turn on deliberately

Per store – not every kiosk needs cash.

  • When the network fails

Cover offline scenarios – instead of stopping sales.

  • Card stays default

PayTec/TWINT for unattended – cash as a complement, not a replacement.

How it works

Enable

  1. 1

    Enable in the store

Turn on the cash button in the store settings.

  2. 2

    Customer chooses

At the end of the purchase, cash instead of card – when offered.

  3. 3

    See it in the dashboard

Cash purchases show under payment methods and in reports.

In detail

Cash function

The cash button is optional and available with Basis. For most unattended setups PayTec stays the default – cash is the deliberate add-on for offline, emergency or mixed operations.

FAQ

Required on Basis?

No – optional. Basis (CHF 99/month) includes the capability; many stores use PayTec/TWINT only.

Does cash replace card?

No – card/TWINT via PayTec stays the unattended default. Cash is an extra per store.
