Know-how
entry access control (beta)
With entry access control, your customers open the store door without a key: the Entry Box reads the card and releases the door opener. The product overview with prices is at entry access control.
The Entry Box and the entry system are available as a beta version. We are continuously extending the features; individual workflows may still change before the final version.
Subscription plans
- Entry Basis (available now): access via the NFC reader. Card data is not stored and is not available for later analysis. Customer registration is not yet possible.
- Entry Standard (from 31.10.2026): your customers register once via the scango.ch web app. Registration is confirmed by SMS (charged). They then receive an access QR code, store it in their wallet and scan it at the Entry Box. The Entry Box can also be deactivated at set times.
The plan requires a scango.ch subscription «Basis» or higher. The minimum term is 12 months, then it can be cancelled monthly. Support is provided by e-mail ticket only.

Connecting the door opener
The Entry Box does not open the door itself; it closes a switching contact. You make sure a potential-free switching contact is available at your door opener or electronic lock. On request we supply a suitable relay (Shelly).
The lock’s power supply is not part of the Entry Box.
Mounting
The box comes with mounting instructions including dimensions. On site it always needs:
- a 230 V connection
- a network connection (Ethernet cable)
We recommend mounting it on a bracket at the entrance, for example an L-shaped metal pipe fixed to the wall. The box is fastened to the bracket. Depending on the location, mounting directly on the wall is also possible; you decide what suits your entrance and infrastructure best. The bracket is not included and must be provided by you.
Mounting is not carried out by scango.ch. Mounting, connecting and coupling to an existing access mechanism are done by you or a qualified professional you appoint.
Weather and warranty
The Entry Box must not be exposed to the weather (rain, snow, strong sunlight). The warranty is 1 year (bring-in). If the box is exposed to the weather, opened or tampered with, the warranty is void.
