Monitoring

With monitoring in the cloud dashboard you track store temperatures via Shelly Cloud sensors – including thresholds, status overview, history and alerts.

Note: This feature is currently enabled on request.

Setup

Open organisation settings and select the Monitoring tab (/settings/organization/monitoring). Connect your Shelly Cloud account (server URI and authorization cloud key), configure alert channels and sync your temperature sensors.

You can find the Cloud Key in the Shelly Smart Control app or on the web under Settings → Home (field «Cloud Key»). Use the server URI from your Shelly Cloud account details as well.

Recommended sensors

Suitable devices are Shelly temperature sensors available in Shelly Cloud – in particular the Shelly BLU H&T ZB (temperature and humidity).

To use this device with the Shelly Smart Control app, a gateway is required. Compatible gateways include the Shelly BLU Gateway or any Shelly Plus, Pro, Gen3 or Gen4 device (excluding sensors). To use this device in a Zigbee network, a compatible Zigbee gateway is required.

Devices and thresholds

For each sensor, assign a store and set min/max temperatures in °C. Shelly rooms are matched to your stores automatically when possible; unmatched rooms can be assigned manually. Based on recent readings the dashboard can suggest recommended thresholds. Disabled devices are not monitored.

Overview and history

Under Monitoring in the menu you see the current status of your devices (OK, Alert, Offline), can filter by store and view the temperature history per sensor (24 hours, 7, 30 or 90 days). In settings you choose how long history is retained (1–365 days, default 90). Readings can be refreshed manually; the page also updates regularly.

Alerts and recipients

When a threshold is breached, a device goes offline or the battery is low, notifications can be sent by email, SMS and optionally via ntfy (push on phone or desktop). Organisation-wide default recipients apply; optionally you can set recipients per store – these fully replace the organisation defaults for that store.

Alert types:

Device not responding – sensor is offline
Temperature below minimum
Temperature above maximum
Battery low

Acknowledge an alert

Every alert notification includes an acknowledge link. Confirming stops further reminders for that incident – until the sensor returns to the normal range and breaches again. SMS uses a short link; the acknowledge page shows device, store and current readings.
